Wyoming PSC approves Montana-Dakota electric rate increase

On Aug. 14, 2009, Montana-Dakota Utilities filed an application with the Wyoming Public Service Commission to increase customers’ electric rates in Wyoming to recover Montana-Dakota’s investment in WyGen III, a new coal-fired electric generation facility located near Gillette, Wyo.

On April 27, 2010, the PSC approved the application, in part, authorizing an increase in electric rates of $2,651,879 per year, effective with service rendered on and after May 1, 2010.
